As we spend today reflecting on all we are grateful for, we can’t help but get a little knot in our throats as we think of all we’re able to accomplish with your support. Animals like these two-week old puppies have a roof over their heads, full bellies, and a gaggle of fans obsessing over their every nose wrinkle. (Stay tuned - they’ll be ready for adoption in early January.)

Thank you to all those that foster, volunteer, donate, adopt, and share our mission. You make a huge impact on the lives of these animals. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Wednesday, friends. Please meet Coco, a 7 month old, Labrador Retriever. Isn’t she a sight to be seen? Let’s chat about her needs:

1. Coco wants to run. Her supermodel legs require daily jaunts to keep her happy. A fenced backyard is a must.
2. Coco is housebroken and crate trained. She will try to tell you she doesn’t need to be kenneled when alone, but she’s lying. If uncrated and left to her own devices, she will redecorate your house to her liking. Her aesthetic will likely not match up with yours.
3. Coco would like a canine friend to play with. She is a socialite and blossoms in the company of other higher energy dogs.
4. Coco loves adventures, activities, and the outdoors. If you also like these things, this is your dog. If you *think* you like these things, this is not your dog. She requires an active home.
5. While Coco is friendly with children, she doesn’t always recognize her 53lb-size. Like many puppies, she has no idea why children cry when knocked over, scratched, or jumped on. Children over the age of 8 or in the 98th growth percentile should be just fine.
6. Coco is a lab puppy through and through. She wants to be near you, with you, and on you. She is mouthy, energetic, affectionate, and experiences FOMO when left out. When provided with structure, energy outlets, and consistency, Coco is happy, social, and a friend to all.

Do you drive a Subaru, wear Chacos, and love anything with the Colorado state flag on it? Look no further, your Colorado adventure buddy is right here. Please meet Britta.

Weighing in at approximately 35lbs (30 of those being her ears), this one year old heeler mix is true to her breed standard of having endless amounts of energy. Due to an old and inoperable injury, one of Britta’s rear legs required amputation, but this doesn’t slow her down and she finds nothing more enjoyable than accompanying you on any outdoor Colorado exploit. When she’s not hiking, her favorite activities include sprinting around the backyard with canine companions, hollering obscenities at the squirrels taunting her on the fence line, and chewing bones at the end of a long activity-filled day.

Due to her young age, Britta is still mastering a few things like kennel-training and her inside voice. She will require a home with a fenced backyard, no shared walls, and overall, people that can provide consistency and structure.

To apply for this dog, children, and cat-friendly adventurous spitfire, please visit www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
