Bounce Animal Rescue is a foster-base, 501c3 nonprofit organization, that rescues and transitions displaced domestic animals into their ideal homes.

Bounce Animal Rescue
Good evening friends. Please say hello to Scotch, Good evening friends. Please say hello to Scotch, a 1 year old, 55lb, pit bull terrier.

Little is known about Scotch’s history other than he was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. Shortly after intake, it was discovered that he had a CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) injury that could only be corrected with a TPLO surgery (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). In normal English, his knee was very messed up and with $3,348.31 we could fix it.

Outside of the unexpected ailment, the post-operative care for a TPLO surgery is 6-12 weeks and involves a lot of caretaker support. Cue Lindsay and Nate, Scotch’s foster home of 74 days and counting. Due to their dedication and selflessness, they didn’t bat an eye or back down when given the diagnosis and care instructions. (Being.a.foster.home.matters.) One expensive surgery and 7 weeks later, Scotch has been cleared for adoption!

Scotch does very well with a busy family. He loves dogs, children, cats, and woodland squirrels. While he loves physical activity, he is the best snuggler we have come across in all our days. Like clockwork, he gets zoomies 2-3x a day and would do best with a fenced backyard. Like many pit bulls, Scotch is sensitive and does best with food, redirection, and positive reinforcement training methods. Finally, future home will need to provide piles and piles of toys - photographic proof will be required.

If you’re interested in adding Scotch to your home, you can find our adoption application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

…And while we pride ourselves on always going the extra mile regardless of cost, this surgery was a very unexpected budget adjustment. If you have a few dollars to spare, please consider tossing them Scotch’s way.
We are ecstatic to announce that we have been awar We are ecstatic to announce that we have been awarded the Community Impact Grant from New York Life in the amount of a $15,000!

Since 2015, Bounce Animal Rescue has grown to 200+ foster homes and volunteers, and has rescued over 7,000 animals. We are committed to delivering on our mission of rescuing and transitioning displaced domestic animal into their ideal homes.

New York Life’s generosity will make a tremendous difference in ensuring that we can continue to provide quality veterinary care, nutrition, spay/neuter programs, education, and compatible adoptions to our animals and Colorado communities.
Today, as we celebrate women, we can’t help but Today, as we celebrate women, we can’t help but reflect on the youngest members of the animal welfare community. Pictured is Mia - she has been fostering with Bounce since she was 8 months old. A few hours ago, she received her newest foster, Hunter, who traveled here from Polk County, Texas. To our understanding, Hunter has never lived inside. Luckily, no one better stepped up to show him the joys of unconditional love.

We are so appreciative of the powerful, intelligent, supportive, and selfless women that encompass Bounce. Happy International Women’s Day.

Happy Thursday, friends. Please meet Coco, an 8 mo Happy Thursday, friends. Please meet Coco, an 8 month old, Labrador Retriever. Isn’t she a sight to be seen? Let’s chat about her needs:

1. Coco wants to run. Her supermodel legs require daily jaunts to keep her happy. A fenced backyard is a must.
2. Coco is housebroken and crate trained. She will try to tell you she doesn’t need to be kenneled when alone, but she’s lying. If uncrated and left to her own devices, she will redecorate your house to her liking. Her aesthetic will likely not match up with yours.
3. Coco would like a canine friend to play with. She is a socialite and blossoms in the company of other higher energy dogs.
4. Coco loves adventures, activities, and the outdoors. If you also like these things, this is your dog. If you *think* you like these things, this is not your dog. She requires an active home.
5. While Coco is friendly with children, she doesn’t always recognize her 53lb-size. Like many puppies, she has no idea why children cry when knocked over, scratched, or jumped on. Children over the age of 8 or entering the 2023 NFL Draft should be just fine.
6. Coco is a lab puppy through and through. She wants to be near you, with you, and on you. She is mouthy, energetic, affectionate, and experiences FOMO when left out. When provided with structure, energy outlets, and consistency, Coco is happy, social, and a friend to all.

Interested adopters can find our adoption application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

For the 15th Day of Christmas, we’re asking for chewing bones. Yes, we’ve already asked for these, but we’re in dire straights. Can you had a pack or two to your cart? (You can find our Amazon Wishlist linked in our story.)

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Good evening friends. Want to talk about some fluf Good evening friends. Want to talk about some fluffy puppies? Us too.

These 2 month old, Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mixes are ready to flee the Bounce nest. These puppies are active, smart dogs that need active, smart dog activities. They want owners that understand they’re intelligent enough to know when dinner is 20 minutes late and when their walk is cut 5ft short. This litter is friendly with children, dogs, and cats. (Even though cats tend to hate puppies - something about being too cheerful.)

To add one of these happy pups to your home, please complete an application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

For the 14th Day of Christmas, we’re asking for reusable potty pads. Puppies pee, we do laundry, it’s the circle of life. (You can find our Amazon Wishlist linked in our story.)

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Nothing cures the Monday blues better than puppies Nothing cures the Monday blues better than puppies. Let’s chat about Ian and Liam.

These 3 month old puppies weigh in at 3lbs, which is exactly the amount of weight I wish to lose this month and won’t. Despite being spitting images of hamsters, our vets have confirmed they are 100% canines. Don’t let their small stature fool you, these pups are spitfires. They tussle like sumo wrestlers, cuddle like penguins, and socialize like cruise directors.

For the 12th Day of Christmas, we’re asking for dog beds (of all sizes). Similar to Liam and Ian, many of our animals haven’t experienced the joys of everyday comforts prior to our care. If you have space in your Amazon cart, our rescues would really appreciate one or two. (You can find our Amazon Wishlist linked in our story.)

To add Ian or Liam to your home, you can find our adoption application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Happy Wednesday, friends. For the 7th Day of Chris Happy Wednesday, friends. For the 7th Day of Christmas, let’s chat about a dog that would warm even the Grinchiest of hearts.

Buggs is a 6 month, 35lbs, pit bull terrier. We picture him frolicking the beach with your family in the summer, and hiking to see foliage in the fall. Life is his oyster and nothing takes the pep out of his step. He’s truly a delight.

Buggs ideal home would have children and another playful canine companion. He plays hard and wrestles harder. He is well-spoken and loves to give joyful barks around meal times, coming out of his kennel, and when meeting new people. Because there is nothing this dog can’t do, Buggs is also dog door trained like the best of them.

To add Buggs to your next adventure, please complete an adoption application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

For the 7th Day of Christmas, Buggs would love a puzzle toy or two. If you have some room in your Amazon chart, would you mind purchasing one? (Our Wishlist is linked in our story.)

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

It’s Colorado Gives Day! Your support makes a remarkable difference in the lives of animals, like Maverick.

This hunk entered our care shortly after being attacked by a pack of feral dogs in New Mexico. This attack resulted in numerous injuries to his face, ears, forelimbs, and mouth. On top of physical lacerations, he was treated for a fractured jaw, missing teeth, and severe ear infections. Fast forward to today, and Maverick is healthy, happy, and available for adoption!

Because Bounce is a foster-based rescue, we are able to take on various animals that other organizations cannot. We continually strive to provide the best care regardless of monetary amount, time of care, or medical procedure. Maverick’s road to recovery amounted to $2,202.66.

For the 6th Day of Christmas, we would greatly appreciate a donation for Colorado Gives Day. You can schedule your donation at www.coloradogives.org/organization/BounceAnimalRescue.

(To add Maverick to your home, fill out an adoption application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.)

• The average amount of money we put into a senior animal is $2,185.
• In 2022, our foster homes have provided 450,840 hours of care.
• 31% of the animals that pass through our care receive specialized services such as bloodwork, radiographs, mass removals, and orthopedic surgeries.
• This is all accomplished by over 230+ foster homes & volunteers, 2 staff members, and generous donors like YOU.

Today, we’ll feature a few of our animals that benefit from your generosity. You can schedule your donation at www.coloradogives.org/organization/BounceAnimalRescue.
Friends, our sincerest apologies. 25 Days of Chris Friends, our sincerest apologies. 25 Days of Christmas took a two day hiatus because we’ve been busier than a mosquito in a nudist colony. To make up for it, let’s talk about a tall glass of water. Please meet Lady, a 9 month old, Cane Corso mix.

Lady is infectiously (and obnoxiously) charismatic. Doesn’t she know that we’re still trying to figure out how to interact with one another? She is goofy, loves to play, and adores children and other dogs. Additional skills include looking majestic, consuming snacks in 0.4 seconds, and stealing the hearts of everyone. The more that adore her, the better.

Like her breed standard, she is eager to please, loyal, and intelligent. She will require a wonderful adopter and a fenced backyard. To add her to your home, please visit www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

On the 5th Day of Christmas, we’re wondering if you could add a pack or two of chewing bones to your Amazon cart? Like Lady, big jowl dogs, would forever be grateful. (Our Wishlist is linked in our story.)

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Happy Friday windy Colorado. If you’re anything Happy Friday windy Colorado. If you’re anything like us, you’re grimacing at your partner’s smug smiles for not having put up the Christmas lights on the house because they “knew this wind was coming”. We all know it’s actually called procrastination, but here we are. Let’s talk about far less annoying things, like a remarkable dog that has blown away our hearts. Please meet Lexus, a 10 month old, 34lb, pit bull terrier.

When first meeting her, Lexus is the definition of a true wallflower. Despite her numerous amazing qualities, she lacks self-esteem in new environments, and needs a patient home to allow her to come into her own. Once she gets to know you, she is just darling. She loves other dogs, cuddling, and making her people smile. This past week, she has discovered the jubilance of toys, which would even give Wednesday Addams a smile.

Because Lexus is still cautiously learning about the joys of being a beloved family member, she will require a secure collar when leaving the house. Our favorite to use on shy dogs is called a martingale, which has a loop that tightens and prevents a dog from backing out of the collar. For the 2nd Day of Christmas, we’re in need of martingale collars (of all different sizes). It would make our day if you didn’t mind adding one or two to your Amazon shopping cart. (Our Wishlist is linked in our story.)

Not an Amazon person? Consider throwing Lexus a few bucks. She is a parvovirus survivor and her hospital bill of $1,840.26 also throws us smug smiles.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Now that it’s December, we can finally throw hol Now that it’s December, we can finally throw holiday cheer in your face. (You’re welcome, Thanksgiving nuts. We held off putting up the 18ft Christmas tree until your Grinch hearts could manage.)

Every December, we launch our 25 Days of Christmas campaign, where we shamelessly beg for supplies we are running low on. Because Bounce is 100% foster-based, these supplies help support our foster homes that selflessly devote their time and households to our 100+ animals. While you’re doing your holiday shopping, if you could add an item or two to your Amazon cart, we would really appreciate it. (Our Amazon Wishlist is linked in our story.)

For the 1st Day of Christmas, we (and Maple) are asking for toys.

Maple is a 10 week old, Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. Like your typical guardian breed, she is intelligent, an independent thinker, and sheds tumbleweeds. She is sweet as the day is long (or night, given it gets dark at 2pm these days), and her social personality would love a lively family. Like all happy puppies, Maple has typical puppy needs, such as rough housing, chewing, and kidnapping your shoes.

To keep happy rescue puppies happy, please consider adding a few toys to your cart. To adopt happy rescue puppies, like Maple, please fill out an application at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

As #GivingTuesday comes to a close, let’s chat a As #GivingTuesday comes to a close, let’s chat about one last dog that benefits from your support.

Jo Beth, a 12 year old Yorkshire terrier, came to us from a backyard breeder in New Mexico. Because it wouldn’t be any other way, she came to us in terrible condition due to being bred over and over and over. Amongst many things, she entered with rotting teeth, atrocious skin, and mammary masses covering every inch of her 4lb chest and stomach. $3,664.84 later, she is tumor free (all benign!), teeth free, and carefree.

Consider throwing us a few bucks! Jo Beth entered with 3 of her sisters. When all said in done, $15,569.21 was spent in getting them all in tip top adoption shape. Nothing is more pathetic than watching us try to figure out how to sell a kidney on the dark web.

Your support makes a remarkable difference in the lives of animals, like Bagel.

Bagel and her brood of roly-poly bandits entered our care after being found wandering oil fields. As you can see, half of Bagel’s left leg is missing, resulting in exposed bone. Obviously, Bounce would not allow her to live another moment in this condition.

One leg amputation, dental, stenotic nares repair, and elongated soft palate resection later, and she was good as new. The $2,265.28 bill was a bit hard to look at, but we’d rather pluck out our eyelashes than let her suffer.
