Happy Friday, friends. Let’s chat Pongo, our newest “just add water” dog. Unlike IKEA’s deceptively simple instructions that claim assembly takes “just three easy steps,” Pongo is genuinely perfect - just add a little water.

Enough to rival even Theo James, Pongo is completely oblivious to his good looks. He is kind, sophisticated, funny, and navigates the world with carefree optimism. He makes friends easily, is always down for an adventure, and only asks that you share the last bite of your sandwich.

Outside of being an accomplished sunbather or fun hang, Pongo is a family man. He gets along wonderfully with children, likely because their playful energies match and they share a fundamental understanding that life is meant to be joyful. Meet Winston! Winston is what we call an “add water dog” - he’s so perfect, all you have to do is add a little bit of water. And lucky for you, he’s available for adoption.

At 1 year and 10 pounds, Winston has it all. He is charming, well-mannered, and eager to be by your side. He enjoys fetch, snuggling, and snoozing at your feet while you work at your desk. His idea of a good time also starts and ends with snacks. Of course they must be one-handed snacks, because your spare hand will be providing Winston with head scratches.

He’s outgoing and social and does well with children, cats, and other dogs. Meet Callie! This little wallflower is who we want to chat about today.

First, let’s start with straight talk. Callie is shy, sensitive, and doesn’t photograph well. If this were high school, she’d be lining the wall at the school dance, wearing headgear, and serving as the president of the Robotics club. She’s the kind of dog that gets overlooked without a second thought to her personality. But who wants to peak in high school?

At 2 years old and 12 pounds, Callie is everything we love about chihuahuas. She is loyal, intuitive, and loves to cuddle. She spent her first few days in foster care moving from hiding spot to hiding spot, but has quickly learned the perks of being a household companion. She enjoys sunbathing, toys, grooming her canine friends, and sharing snacks with you during Netflix binges.

Callie is looking for a calm home with no kids. She would also greatly benefit from having a backyard and a confident dog friend to romp around with. Successful adopters will be patient and kind. Good evening, friends, say hello to Dolly and Jolene. These pups are the ultimate cool girls. They’re friendly, gorgeous, and adventurous. At 30 pounds and 6 months of age, these Labrador Retriever mixes are the total package.

Like their personalities, they would love playful homes. They’re quick to warm up to people and would love to go on outings with you. They adore other dogs and kids, but would do best without felines. Their level of play wouldn’t be reciprocated by most cats, unless you have a mountain lion and then we can chat. True to their breed, they are eager-to-please, social, and intelligent. They are working hard on kennel and house training and promise to keep learning because your homes are their homes and they can’t wait to be there.

If you’re looking for an outgoing social butterfly, Noah won’t disappoint. He wants to hang out with you at the local brewery, eat s’mores by the campfire, and cuddle and binge watch whatever you please. An added perk - he is goofy as all get-out and keeps belly laughs plentiful.

Dan is the best. He is friendly, gentle, and can out-cuddle anyone. His hobbies include looking cute, befriending everyone, and sleeping through adoption events so he keeps being overlooked for the more rambunctious puppies. (Dan says they’re obnoxious.) Dan is a well-mannered puppy and he plans to grow up to be a dog of leisure. He loves humans (big and small), cats, and other dogs. He is well-versed in kennel training and working very hard on housebreaking, but sometimes it’s hard, especially when it’s 12 degrees outside.

Friends, this is Bonnie. This 4-month-old, 23 pound, pit bull terrier mix is a genuine goldmine.

Bonnie is affectionate, eager to please, tolerant, and very social. Due to her wonderful foster home, she has a fantastic foundation with training and home etiquette. She absolutely adores children and other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with litter box users, but given her easygoing and personable demeanor, she’s determined to befriend all. Bonnie’s happiness is infectious and she’s determined to make everyone her person.

Bonnie is an excellent candidate for almost any home.
