The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application.
Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Holds expire at 11am. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information so you may inquire on personalities of specific animals. Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 48-72 hours for an application to be processed.
Our rescue includes a one week trial period with the adoption of all of our animals. This allows you to take the animal home to ensure it is the perfect fit for you, your family, and lifestyle. If it does not work out, we accept the animal back into rescue and refund the adoption fee. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
